A submission video for the Emerging Technologies session in SIGGRAPH 2011. This video introduces an early prototype of smoon, a robotic measuring spoon that physically transforms itself in accordance with provided recipes on the Internet.
TagTansu Entry Video for Mashup Awards 6
An entry video of an early prototype of TagTansu, a wardrobe system with which we can easily capture pictures of clothes and add annotations to create a database of clothes. TagTansu was nominated for Mashup Awards 6 and won a finalist prize.
Early AirSketcher Prototype
A submission video for Workshop of Interactive System and Software (WISS) 2010. This video introduces an early prototype of AirSketcher, a robotic fan with an embedded infrared camera to follow and record the movement of a controller baton, so that the users can directly manipulate wind to make comfortable air circulation.
Concept of CastOven
A sidenote video for the Ubicomp 2010 demonstration of CastOven, a microwave oven with an embedded LCD display on which we can enjoy videos while we are waiting for the completion of cooking. This video describes the abstract concept of our time-oriented system that identifies our idle time in daily life and fills it with an appropriate amount of media content to facilitate our use of time.
Construction of CastOven
This video illustrates the hardware and software construction of CastOven, a microwave oven with an embedded LCD display on which we can enjoy videos while we are waiting for the completion of cooking. We used this video in the juried presentation of Mashup Awards 5 and received very good reaction from the audiences. CastOven won a Finalist Prize and the Juries’ Special Prize.
